The area under study (total area 1500 sq.m.) is located in a typical office building near Omonia square.

The company that owns the plays grew up during the last years and meeting rooms are overbooked and not enough anymore. The main request of the client was to redesign the gym area of the office in order to create small meeting rooms and create open meeting areas as well as private call points.

In this direction, the spatial organization of the gym was redesigned from scratch. More than that open area meeting tables and phone booths have been placed in strategic points so the various teams can use them during the day.

In the former gym area (4th floor), three new meeting rooms have been designed. Behind glazed partitions in order to gain the natural light two smaller meeting rooms can host meeting up to four people each. A larger meeting room placed next to the interior garden of the office acts as a boarder between the gathering point and the relaxation area and can host meetings up to six people. In front of it a ping pong table acts as a relaxation point where employees can have their brake.

Phone booths for net meetings act as private spots are spread in both 4th and 5th floor. Next to them open area working stations host quick gatherings for everyday meetings.

Soft and sound absorbing materials have been chosen for most of the spaces. In closed meeting rooms, felt has been placed in the vertical surfaces while curtains are there to make the spaces more private when needed.

In the open are meeting rooms, chairs and design furniture covered in sound absorbing cloths preserve the sound quality of the space

The colors have been chosen according to the company s profile and aim to help spaces become lifeful or neutral according to their character.

The lighting, sometimes indirect and atmospheric (hidden linear) sometimes direct (linear stripes), marks the space by giving it an identity and allows the user to create the desired atmosphere at any time.
